DESCRIPTION :

Impregnable POD project, located in a slum area (canal) in Rama 9, Bangkok, Thailand, is designed to address the issue of flooding in this area. Impregnable POD involves the design of prefabricated, floating tiny houses that are built using fiber as a building construction material. These impregnable POD are specifically designed to withstand flood events and to promote self-sustaining and multifunctional design. They are equipped to produce energy, collect and sell trash, and even farm fish in the canal. Impregnable POD can be used as standalone units or as part of a community, and are intended to provide a sustainable and resilient housing solution for people living in flood-prone areas.

The prefabricated, fiber-constructed Impregnable POD are easy to build and install, making them an efficient and cost-effective solution for addressing the challenges of flooding in urban areas. By designing houses that can withstand floods and promoting self-sustaining and multifunctional design, the Impregnable POD project is not only working to provide a sustainable and resilient housing solution, but also to address the issue of flood resilience in the city as a whole. Its innovative approach makes it an important step towards creating more livable, equitable, and sustainable communities for the future.
